Seeds. Blue Agarita (Berberis trifoliolata blue)

Agarita (Berberis trifoliolata), is great Texas native shrub to replace Hollie’s. It is an evergreen shrub with spiny leaves with edible red fruit. In early spring they are covered in yellow blooms which give way to the fruit. Extremely drought tolerant. seeds require at least 30 days stratification for germination to occur.

These seeds were harvested near Kerrville, tx out of a pure population of blue Agarita.
